Nadav Zafrir is the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Check Point Software Technologies, taking over the role on December 16th, 2024.
Nadav Zafrir succeeds Gil Shwed, who had served as CEO for 30 years, building Check Point into a multi-billion-dollar leader in cybersecurity. Gil Shwed will now serve as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Nadav Zafrir brings a wealth of leadership and cybersecurity expertise to Check Point. Prior to his appointment:
Nadav Zafrir was the co-founder and managing partner at Team8, an Israeli venture group specializing in cybersecurity, data & AI, fintech, and digital health. Under his leadership, Team8 built, invested in, and chaired 17 cybersecurity companies.
Nadav Zafrir served as the Commander of Israel’s elite military intelligence Unit 8200, where he established the IDF’s Cyber Command. He retired as a Brigadier General, a testament to his strategic leadership in cyber defense.
Nadav Zafrir has also served on the boards of 14 private cybersecurity companies and was a board member of SolarEdge Technologies, after previously serving as its chairman for five years.
