Videocon Telecom has announced its entry into fast-growing security and surveillance market with the launch of Videocon WallCam, a new brand focusing on surveillance and security devices.
The new brand will cater to the surveillance needs of enterprise, government, retail and institutional customers, Videocon said in a press conference in New Delhi.
With this launch, Videocon targets 15 percent market share among organized players by end of FY 2019 and aims to be among the top three security and surveillance market by 2021.
Currently the market of security and surveillance products is estimated at Rs 6600 crore.
The company has finalized its products for the institutional and retail segment, and is looking for system integrators and distributors. In addition, it views great synergy between the new productline and its existing telecom business.
