Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security version 9.0 launched for SMBs

Trend Micro today announced the launch of version 9.0 to Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security for SMBs.

New features of Worry-Free Business Security 9.0 include: Integration with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for simplified mobile device management; enhanced security policies including Remote Wipe and Device Access control capabilities to remove all data from BYOD devices in the event of theft or data breach; support for Windows 8.1, Microsoft Exchange 2013, and improved security for Mac platforms and overall usability, detection and performance improvements, said Trend Micro.

“Since SMBs are affected by BYOD and consumerization, Trend Micro is committed to providing dynamic, yet affordable, solutions that deliver greater functionality and ease-of-use,” said Dhanya Thakkar, managing director, India & SEA, Trend Micro.

IDC says the use of BYOD smartphones in SMBs increased from 53 percent in 2012 to 88 percent in 2013. During the same period, BYOD tablet usage increased from 30 percent to 56 percent. These trends reinforce the growing need for SMBs to adapt their security strategy and provide protection for all endpoints—from PCs and Macs, to mobile platforms.
