TCS offers analytics-driven security with Symantec

IT services provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has joined hands with the US-based anti-virus software major Symantec to offer analytics-driven security services.

“The partnership will enable customers to leverage business opportunities, reduce costs and improve productivity through our security industry expertise and Symantec’s security technologies,” said the Mumbai-based TCS in a statement on Friday.

TCS and Symantec plan to jointly develop industry standard offerings with unique simplified anytime, anywhere services powered by Symantec’s product suite and TCS’ world class integrated next generation security management service offerings, the statement added.

“TCS and Symantec are working together to empower businesses with strategic solutions that will help them transform their businesses to reduce risk, cost, complexity, and overcome compliance challenges,” said TCS’s global head for enterprise security and risk management Satish Thiagarajan.

Areas of focus include data protection, cloud security and threat intelligence among others.
