Infotech Lead America: Symantec Corp announced several new cloud capabilities, including the availability of the Symantec Partner Management Console, as a part of its ongoing commitment to Managed Service Providers. The “Partner Management Console” simplifies the management and monitoring of Symantec Endpoint Protection cloud and Symantec Backup Exec cloud through a single web-based portal.
The new console builds on Symantec’s MSP strategy announced last year to enable service providers to differentiate their services, maximize opportunities and accelerate profitability in an increasingly competitive market. The new console fulfills those promises by offering new capabilities and features for MSPs.
The console is designed for fast customer set-up, easy provisioning of customer accounts, conversion of trials and management of subscriptions to reduce administrative overhead, drive growth and accelerate profitability. It also enables partners to provide customized and branded usage, status and security reports, reducing the costs of managing multiple customers and services while demonstrating increased value to end users.
The Partner Management Console allows MSPs to deliver and manage security and backup solutions as managed services in a cost effective manner. Symantec’s new integrations with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform providers such as Kaseya, LabTech Software and Level Platforms extend the company’s long standing relationships with them.
“Working with Symantec, a leader in backup and security solutions, we can differentiate our services, maximize opportunities in the market and drive profitability better than ever before,” said Matt Nachtrab, CEO, LabTech Software. “Symantec listens to the needs of the MSP market and continuously delivers solutions to meet those needs. With our latest integration, we are positioned to offer market leading protection to our partners backed by the trust that Symantec is known for,” added Nachtrab.
Symantec Backup Exec 2012 Management Plug-in 1.1 was established for Kaseya. With this solution, MSPs can ensure all systems are functioning properly and within compliance standards. It also allows them to take proactive action when needed without incurring the costs associated with visiting a customer site.
