RSA unveils new data security product

Cybersecurity issues
RSA, the security division of data storage multinational EMC Corporation, on Wednesday unveiled a new RSA SecurID Suite for data security on-premise and in the Cloud.

RSA SecurID Suite is engineered to combine the disciplines of access, governance, lifecycle and identity assurance to help organisations address the identity needs of the modern enterprise.

“The RSA SecurID Suite helps executives take command of the whole identity lifecycle. It’s one of the only solution on the market that offers truly actionable insights into identity and access issues, helping leaders protect enterprises, minimise the friction that users face and empower businesses,” explained Jim Ducharme, Vice President of Engineering and Product Management, RSA.

It helps improves business productivity and user experience by delivering context-based identity assurance.

The RSA SecurID Suite includes RSA SecurID Access, including the traditional RSA SecurID two-factor authenticators, RSA Identity Governance and RSA Identity Lifecycle.

Organizations in Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) investing in detection and response technologies are better poised to defend against today’s advanced threats, said a research by RSA, The Security Division of EMC. 74 percent of survey respondents in the APJ region face a significant risk of cyber incidents – closely aligned to the global average of 75 percent.

70 percent of APJ-based respondents had experienced cyber incidents that negatively impacted their business operations in the past year. Not surprisingly, only 23 percent of those organizations considered their cybersecurity strategy mature.

85 percent of organizations surveyed with less than 1,000 employees reported to be not well prepared for today’s threats versus 61 percent of mid-sized organization (between 1,000-10,000 employees) and 65 percent of large organizations (10,000+ employees) reported not being as well prepared.
