Quick Heal to invest in Israel-based L7 Defense

Quick Heal Technologies has agreed to make a strategic investment of USD 300,000 in Israel based L7 Defense.

L7 Defense, incorporated in 2015 in Tel Aviv, is a cybersecurity start-up specializing in next generation web application firewall (NG-WAF) and application program interface (API) security to safeguard businesses against botnet and distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. Yisrael Gross is the co-founder of L7 Defense.

This investment will mark Quick Heal’s foray into the NG-WAF and API security market and expand its enterprise security solutions under brand Seqrite. Seqrite, backed by its GoDeep.AI technology, offers endpoint security, unified threat management, secure web gateway, enterprise mobility management, full disk encryption and data loss prevention.

Quick Heal Technologies CEO Kailash Katkar said: “This strategic investment will enable us to deliver NG-WAF and API Security to enterprise customers by leveraging L7 Defense’s proprietary technology.”
