Netmagic will offer Malware Protection services as part of its Managed Security Services in India in partnership with McAfee. The services will offer server security to enterprise clients via Netmagic’s cloud services on pay per use basis.
Netmagic, a subsidiary of NTT Communications, aims to provide customized security services offerings on a hosted model. Enterprise customers can monitor malicious activity across servers and hosts and provide a proactive protection from security threats.
Netmagic said Server Host Protection service is a SAAS based offering powered by McAfee to provide protection from known, near-zero day, and zero-day attacks. Secure Host, an antivirus, anti-malware and intrusion prevention, stops unnecessary usage/deployment of software on servers.
Sharad Sanghi, managing director and CEO of Netmagic, said collaboration with McAfee will help the company to expand its existing portfolio of managed security services and deliver protection from advanced malware such as ransom-ware.
Anand Ramamoorthy, managing director, South Asia at McAfee, said technological disruption is changing the future of workplaces making the traditional hardware-based security paradigm obsolete.
Netmagic said its managed security services are cost effective, providing skilled resources, network infrastructure, advanced security solutions and tools to reduce cyber threats and protect company assets.
Factors such as cybercrime activities, cost effectiveness, shortage of skilled workforce, 24×7 monitoring and support, continuous change in compliance regulations, growing trend of BYOD and mobile devices at workplace are some of the drivers which are expected to grow global managed security services market.
