NASSCOM Foundation to donate Symantec products to Indian NGOs

NASSCOM Foundation offer Symantec enterprise and desktop products to NGOs in India through BigTech, its software donations program.

Symantec IT security products include Symantec Endpoint Protection, Backup Exec and Norton.

NASSCOM said a number of NGOs in India are using outdated or free security solutions with limited protection, making them vulnerable to hacking, data thefts, trojan horses, viruses, worms, spyware, adware, rootkits and other security threats.

Shantanu Ghosh, managing director, India Product Operations, Symantec, said, “Through NASSCOM BigTech Program, we want to do our bit by helping NGOs protect and manage their information, so they can continue to leverage technology for greater good.”
