Microsoft Intros New Pay-As-You-Go Model for AI-Powered Cybersecurity Tool

Microsoft’s Security Copilot, which was introduced through a soft launch earlier, aims at empowering analysts to execute queries through a straightforward prompt box, aiding in tasks such as incident summarization, vulnerability analysis, and collaborative information sharing via a pinboard interface.

During an event in San Francisco, a Microsoft representative disclosed that approximately 300 customers are presently leveraging the tool.

Microsoft Corporate Vice President Vasu Jakkal conveyed the company’s intention to transition towards a usage-based billing model, forsaking the traditional subscription-based structure. Vasu Jakkal emphasized Microsoft’s aspiration to minimize entry barriers for users, fostering a more inclusive cybersecurity landscape.

Microsoft believes that the ‘pay-as-you-go’ model enables users to ensure accessibility and affordability, empowering organizations to use advanced AI capabilities to fortify their cyber defense strategies.
