Kaspersky Lab shared its strategies to tap large enterprises in India for its security solutions.
Altaf Halde, managing director, Kaspersky Lab, South Asia, said the security company will improve its engagement with large enterprises. At present, it works with less than 100 enterprises.
“We have a huge market to tap. We just started working with Comguard as our national distributor and we will add a significant number of enterprises to our list this year,” Halde told InfotechLead.com.
Kaspersky Lab’s main challenge is to compete with established security solution providers such as Trend Micro, Intel’s McAfee, Norton, Symantec, etc.
Kaspersky Lab’s India head admits that the game will not be easy in India. But it will approach enterprises to test its solutions. “These enterprises may be working with established players. But they will be able to offer us some share of their security budget initially. From there, we will build market share.”
For instance, Kaspersky Lab will approach enterprise CIOs with security solutions for a branch / cloud offerings, etc. This will assist enterprises not to alert their present security settings. “We are strong in our cloud offerings,” Halde added.
Comguard is confident of achieving business in India, though Kaspersky Lab is a new player in the enterprise market. “We will build proof of concept centers in Mumbai and Delhi to share knowledge about Kaspersky security solutions. We are building strong presence in the Middle East. The same can be done in India as well,” said Spectrum Group CEO Ajay Singh Chauhan.
Globally, Kaspersky Lab has over 250,000 corporate clients. This list includes both SMBs and large enterprises.
