Russian cybersecurity company Kaspersky Lab India announced the resignation of Altaf Halde.
Altaf Halde was the head of Kaspersky Lab India for the last seven years.
Kaspersky Lab also announced the appointment of Shrenik Bhayani as its new general manager for the South Asia region as the replacement of Altaf Halde.
Kaspersky Lab is currently facing issues significant challenges in the U.S.
Shrenik Bhayani will be responsible for further developing the growth of the company in the South Asian SMB and enterprise markets in countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives.
Shrenik Bhayani will be based at Kaspersky Lab’s South Asia office in Mumbai.
“The launch of Kaspersky Lab’s 2018 consumer technology has shown success for the company’s flagship suite. We are executing a strong strategy to help protect businesses in critical industrial environments in the entire South Asian region,” Shrenik Bhayani said.
“Shrenik Bhayani’s ability to mix between sales and channels will enable close alignment with priorities and growth objectives of Kaspersky Lab,” said Stephan Neumeier, managing director, Kaspersky Lab APAC.
Earlier, Shrenik Bhayani worked with Unify India as country manager for the India and SAARC business. Shrenik Bhayani has transformed the business from a 100 percent direct sales to a complete indirect sales model.
Shrenik Bhayani has also held leadership positions in several other organization including Avaya and Orange Business Services. He holds an Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications from Mumbai, India.
