Internet security firm Zscaler closes $25 mn funding from Google

Zscaler Inc., an Internet security company, has closed its $25 million financing from Google Capital.

The company has raised $110 million in total aiming for global expansion, as well as accelerating the growth of technology and customer base.

“We are joining forces with Google Capital to help millions of organizations securely adopt cloud computing, mobility and the Internet of Things,” said Jay Chaudhry, CEO of Zscaler.

Zscaler secures more than 15 million users, processes more than 15 billion Internet requests, and stops more than 100 million cyber-threats every day.

“As the global specialist in energy management and automation, we are adopting cloud and mobile computing to help our 170,000 employees become more productive and provide even better service for the customers we serve across more than 100 countries,” said Herve Coureil, chief information officer at Schneider Electric.
