Intel Security explains consumer security services

Intel
Intel Security on Tuesday explained its new consumer security services while announcing its availability.

The company said its new security products include True Key. It also extends unlimited cross-device protection beyond the McAfee LiveSafe service to McAfee AntiVirus Plus, McAfee Internet Security, and McAfee Total Protection.

Features of the new consumer security services include, cross device security, new scan, discover and protect technology.  Newly integrated True Key allows sign-in without passwords.

It also promises improved mobile protection and new wearable security and access to the next generation of browsing protection.

There are six new online threats found every second, Intel said citing its recent Intel Security report. It noted that the increase in the use of digital devices and apps has resulted in a rise of digital security threats. This calls for higher security measures.

“Today digital security must go beyond antivirus technology. It’s an imperative for everyone who connects online to have layered security to afford them the best possible protection,” said John Giamatteo, corporate vice president and general manager of consumer at Intel Security.

“It’s time to think and act differently in such a way that fundamentally alters the way we will protect our customers. We are doing just that by integrating and extending security in ways we think will profoundly enhance our abilities to detect and protect against the latest threats.”
