HP has launched ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager for Indian enterprises

Infotech Lead India: HP has launched ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) 6.0c, a security monitoring and compliance solution.

HP ArcSight ESM 6.0c includes HP Correlation Optimized Retention and Retrieval Engine (CORR-Engine), which applies sophisticated intelligence to identify security threats across IT infrastructure.

The technology major said this intelligence enables enterprises to filter anomalies, prioritize critical issues and reduce damage from cyber attacks.

“Organizations need powerful data analytics to pinpoint critical threats amongst the massive amounts of security information they are generating,” said Damanjit Singh Uberoi, chief solutions architect & evangelist, South Asia HP Enterprise Security Products.

“HP ArcSight ESM 6.0c uses advanced algorithms to correlate this data, alerting clients to threats in real time while providing the scalability needed to handle the most demanding levels of network activity,” Uberoi added.

There are several benefits including cost reduction from security monitoring. HP ArcSight ESM 6.0c processes up to 500 percent more activity per second compared to previous versions of ESM, providing faster analysis and reduced security monitoring costs. This enables clients to reduce security risks while storing log data, using up to 20 times less storage space.

HP ArcSight ESM 6.0c will be available in October under a new simplified pricing model.

According to a recent InfotechLead.com news report, HP Enterprise Services has launched new Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) analytics services. The new analytics service is designed to accelerate discovery of growth opportunities, efficiencies and cost savings while supporting improvements in compliance and mitigation of risk.
