Under the deal, HID Global will combine its Seos credential technology with SureID’s assurance identity management programs.
With the alliance, the companies aim to provide organizations the ability to conduct identity screening, verification and credentialing for vendors, contractors and volunteers in order to increase safety and security.
Seos-enabled credentials from HID Global helps identity credentials to reside on any smart device while instilling confidence that identities are secure and privacy is protected.
“With identity solutions powered by Seos, customers have the potential to use any combination of smart cards, smart phones, tablets, wearables and other smart devices to secure more applications than ever before,” said Anthony Ball, President of Identity and Access Management with HID Global.
“Our technology alliance with SureID, the nation’s commercial leader in high-assurance identity management, is the latest example of how HID Global’s innovations are broadening the possibilities for identity management to enhance the end-user experience.”
Earlier in the month, HID Global expanded its identity assurance portfolio with the addition of the ActivID Flexi Token. The new solution is ideal for financial institutions and enterprises seeking a cost-effective pin pad solution with advanced security capabilities for mass deployment.
Recently, the company reached a deal with software maker Microsoft to make enhanced cloud app security. With the new system, named ActivID Tap Authentication, retailers would be able to improve service and enhance security by enabling floor staff to access the information they need by simply tapping a smart card to their tablet.
