HID Global, a provider of identity solutions, has acquired DemoTeller, a provider of instant issuance solutions for the financial market.
HID Global aims to address the needs of financial institutions and retailers for instant issuance of personalized financial or payment cards, such as a chip card.
DemoTeller adds solution, installation and maintenance services to broaden HID Global’s issuance business beyond printers and consumables.

DemoTeller’s offerings expand HID Global’s secure issuance portfolio to include financial instant issuance software, hosted distributed printers and HSM hardware. DemoTeller enables HID Global to sell a financial instant issuance solution to financial institutions and retailers.
Financial institutions are investing in new software and hardware to meet EMV standards for smart payment cards – also called chip cards. The DemoTeller solution, coupled with HID Global’s printers and consumables, enables financial institutions and retailers to hand an activated card to customers.
