Fortinet to introduce new wireless access points in Middle East

Infotech Lead India: Fortinet will introduce new wireless access points along with new two-factor authentication products in the Middle East.

The network security solutions provider will release new products at the 2012 GITEX Technology Week from October 14 to 18, 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).

Fortinet claims that its new products enhance the industry’s most complete Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and wireless network security solutions.

Fortinet will release FortiAP-320B, FortiAP-223B, FortiAP-112B and the FortiAP-11C.

Enterprise customers will benefit as the new FortiAP models offer significant advantages including faster connections, simplified deployment, centralized single pane of glass management and reduced total-cost-of ownership. Moreover, the devices work seamlessly with the wireless controller functionality embedded in every FortiGate network security device.

Fortinet’s two-factor authentication clients include FortiToken-200CD, FortiToken-Mobile and FortiToken-300. These are aimed at providing businesses with the flexibility to choose which token solutions best fit their environment from a security and ease-of-use standpoint.

Bashar Bashaireh, Regional Director at Fortinet Middle East

“The BYOD revolution urges organizations to look at how to embrace an unavoidable practice while minimizing its risks. We are pleased to be part of Gitex, as this is a great platform for us to demonstrate how our new wireless and authentication products along with other embedded security technologies can help organizations deploy a robust, flexible and cost-effective BYOD security infrastructure,” said Bashar Bashaireh, Regional Director at Fortinet Middle East.

Recently, Fortinet appointed Oxygen, a value-added distributor specialized in mobility, wireless and security solutions, for distributing its security solutions in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
