Fortinet selected for U.S. Black Hat conference

Black Hat has selected Fortinet to secure the event network environment for attendees, participants and staff at the 2015 U.S. Black Hat conference in Las Vegas.

Fortinet will provide high-performance cybersecurity solutions to ensure that connectivity at the show is not sacrificed.

The company said Fortinet hardware is deployed to secure the event network with solutions to meet stringent network security needs at Black Hat conference.

Additionally, FortiGate firewalls will protect the entire event as well as FortiAP wireless access points ensure that participants have the continuous, high performance and ultra-secure connectivity.

“We’re happy to be working with Fortinet this year and are confident that our attendees will have the security they expect, without sacrificing their data or connectivity,” said Steve Wyle, general manager, Black Hat.

Few days ago, Fortinet closed the acquisition of Meru Networks, a provider of intelligent Wi-Fi networking solutions, for approximately $44 million, to broaden its portfolio to enterprise Wi-Fi market.

In May, Muthoot Fincorp, a provider of retail financial services, deployed its Fortinet’s FortiGate network security platform – after rejecting Juniper, Cisco Systems and DAX.
