TechnologyOne, the enterprise software maker in Australia, said it faced a cyber attack. It detected an unauthorized third-party access to its back-office systems.
TechnologyOne did not reveal any possible impact on its revenue following the cyber security incident. TechnologyOne, Australia’s largest ERP Software as a Service (SaaS) company, has reported revenue of $369.4 million (+18 percent) and $88.8 million (+22 percent) for the year ended 30 September 2022.
“TechnologyOne’s customer-facing SaaS platform is not connected to the Microsoft 365 system, and therefore, has not been impacted,” the enterprise software maker reassured its customers in an exchange filing.
Brisbane-based software maker went on a trading halt after the announcement. TechnologyOne said it has isolated the affected systems and will contact the impacted customers after an investigation is conducted.
Major firms such as top grocer Woolworths, and telecoms Telstra and TPG Telecom have reported data breaches and unauthorized access, bringing to light corporate vulnerability to cyber attacks.
