Dell Software new mobility solutions to reduce security risks and IT complexity

Dell Software has enhanced the capabilities of its mobility solutions.

The newly launched mobility solutions are designed to assist enterprise customers to support mobile workers and reduce security risks and IT complexity.

“As part of Dell’s focus on delivering end-to-end enterprise mobility solutions, we’re supplying customers with innovative hardware, software and services to help them plan, deploy and manage new workspace models,” said Tom Kendra, vice president and general manager of Systems Management for Dell Software.

Forrester Research says employees use many different devices, from desktops (85 percent), laptops and netbooks (63 percent) to tablets (21 percent) and smartphones (48 percent).

Dell says the Dell KACE K1000 GO app allows IT admins to access the K1000 from their mobile device, so they can review and respond to service desk notifications while away from their PC, prioritize and expedite problem resolutions, and deploy software more easily and efficiently.

The latest release of the Dell SonicWALL Mobile Connect application is now pre-installed on all Windows 8.1 tablets and laptops, which extends Dell’s secure access capabilities to more mobile device and laptop platforms, including Windows, iOS and Android.

Dell SonicWALL Mobile Connect is pre-installed on Dell’s recently announced Venue line of tablets, which comprises four new ultrathin models designed to address the changing way people live and work.

The Mobile Connect application, in combination with the newest version of the Dell SonicWALL E-Class Secure Remote Access (SRA) for enterprise appliance, provides mobile and remote workers using managed or unmanaged smartphones, tablets or laptops with simple, policy-enforced access to critical data without compromising security.
