Enterprise IT vendor Dell today announced new protection solutions for data stored either on premises or in the cloud.
Dell’s new data protection solutions include: Dell Data Protection | Rapid Recovery; three new data deduplication appliances models; new Dell Data Protection | Endpoint Recovery – Free Edition; and the new Dell Data Protection | NetVault Backup 11.
The solution is now available globally with a starting price of $1,199 for new users. Dell has offered a free upgrade for current AppAssure license holders.
Dell also expanded its DR series of deduplication appliances with the addition of DR4300e, DR4300 and DR6300.
The US-based technology company claimed that the new releases deliver increased capacity, speed and performance. Moreover, it enables customers to backup more data while storing less.
Dell said DR4300 is ideal for mid-market organizations with its 108TB of usable capacity while ingesting up to 23TB of data per hour.
At the same time, the DR63000 is designed for a larger midmarket. It delivers up to 360TB of usable capacity while ingesting up to 29TB of data per hour.
Dell DR appliances are built on its 13th generation Dell PowerEdge servers. The company said DR appliances support 16 of the industry’s leading backup applications and can easily be added to an existing data protection environment.
The company is selling Dell DR 4300e at $13,000, DR 4300 for $43,000 and DR6300 for $87,000.
The enterprise networking company will be offering Dell Data Protection | Endpoint Recovery – Free Edition in a light-weight software offering from early March.
The Dell Data Protection | NetVault Backup v11 is an enterprise backup and recovery solution. Dell said this version provides increased scalability and performance required to simplify backup. It is also available now with a starting price of $1,265.
