Singapore’s DBS Group announced that its data vendor, Toppan Next Tech (TNT), suffered a ransomware attack that may have compromised customer statements of approximately 8,200 clients.

TNT, which is responsible for printing customer statements and letters for DBS, informed the bank about the breach on April 5. Preliminary investigations indicate that most of the exposed data involves DBS Vickers, the bank’s trading platform, with a smaller portion relating to cashline loan accounts.
The potentially affected documents were mostly sent to individual customers between December 2024 and February 2025. The compromised information includes customers’ first and last names, postal addresses, and details of equities and loans.
DBS clarified that its internal systems were not affected and that all customer deposits and funds remain secure.
Singapore’s Monetary Authority (MAS) and Cyber Security Agency (CSA) confirmed that the attack led to the extraction of customer data from both DBS Bank and Bank of China’s Singapore branch. The CSA is supporting TNT in the investigation, while MAS is working with the impacted banks to ensure proper risk management and customer communication measures are in place.
