SafetyDetectives’ Cybersecurity Team uncovered a forum post on the clear web where a threat actor allegedly leaked 8.3 million lines of corporate inbox data from 5 Miles Lab.

Founded in 2014, 5 Miles Lab is a digital advertising company working with brands like Bvlgari, Apple, Huawei, McDonald’s, and Timberland. The leaked dataset, totaling 1.27 GB, was available on a well-known forum for database leaks and could be accessed for just over two US dollars.
The compromised information appears to originate from inquiries submitted through the company’s website contact form, including messages from businesses seeking partnerships and job applicants. The leaked data included inquirers’ IDs, names, emails, phone numbers, messages, message dates, and, in some cases, social media or messaging app contacts. SafetyDetectives verified the legitimacy of the leaked sample.
The breach exposes affected individuals to significant risks such as phishing, targeted scams, and social engineering attacks, as cybercriminals may use the information to impersonate trusted sources and trick recipients into revealing sensitive details. The incident underscores the need for stronger cybersecurity measures in the digital marketing industry to protect corporate and client data from unauthorized access and potential exploitation.
