CrowdStrike and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have unveiled an equity-free Cybersecurity Startup Accelerator, targeting early-stage cybersecurity startups in the EMEA region. The initiative aims to nurture and bolster the next wave of disruptors in the cybersecurity market.
The AWS & CrowdStrike Cybersecurity Startup Accelerator will provide selected startups with personalized mentorship, technical expertise, and partnership opportunities as part of AWS’s Startup Loft Accelerator (SLA) program. Additionally, promising early-stage companies in the cybersecurity domain may also secure funding from CrowdStrike’s strategic investment vehicle, the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund.
Applications for this accelerator program are open from September 27 to October 31, 2023. Successful applicants will benefit from a 10-week no-cost program offering office hours with AWS Cybersecurity experts and CrowdStrike executives, access to prominent global cybersecurity investors, enablement sessions, and up to $25,000 in AWS Activate credits, among other exclusive perks.
The program will culminate in an in-person Demo Day at the AWS Startup Loft in San Francisco during the RSA Conference in May 2024, where participants can showcase their innovations. Exceptional presentations during this event stand a chance to receive funding from the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund.
The CrowdStrike Falcon Fund is the cybersecurity industry’s largest corporate venture arm and operates as a cross-stage investment fund. It is designed to build an ecosystem of next-generation security leaders through investment and deep technical integrations with the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, providing CrowdStrike customers access to cutting-edge third-party capabilities.
Expressing enthusiasm for the initiative, Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, emphasized the collaboration’s potential to transform the cybersecurity landscape. “CrowdStrike’s category creating journey from startup to market leader was built on AWS and together we have created an enhanced AWS go-to-market – bringing cybersecurity to the cloud era,” Bernard stated.
AWS has been a stalwart in prioritizing security, and this venture underscores their commitment to supporting startups disrupting the global cybersecurity ecosystem. Chris Grusz, Managing Director of Technology Partnerships at AWS, stated, “Security has been a top priority for AWS since day one and we are delighted to work with CrowdStrike to support the next generation of startups set to disrupt the global cybersecurity ecosystem.”
Startups interested in this opportunity are encouraged to review the terms and conditions and submit their applications here. This collaboration between CrowdStrike and AWS promises to propel the growth of innovative cybersecurity startups and reinforce cybersecurity solutions for the cloud era.
