Network security provider Check Point Software Technologies has acquired Israel’s Dome9 to strengthen its position in cloud security, Reuters reported.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Dome9, founded in 2011, enables security and compliance for rapid public cloud adoption.
Dome9 customers use its platform to secure cloud deployments across Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. Dome9 customers include many Fortune 1000 Enterprises, global system Integrators and MSPs.
“Joining the Check Point family will make Dome9’s unique technologies an integral part of the industry’s most comprehensive Gen V cyber security solution, Check Point Infinity,” said Zohar Alon, Dome9 co-founder and CEO.
Check Point revenue grew 4 percent to $471 million in Q3 2018, the Israel-based company said on Wednesday.
“Third quarter results reached the top end of our projections, with better than anticipated strength coming from the U.S. and Europe,” Check Point Chief Executive Gil Shwed said.
Check Point’s operating income was $226 million, representing 48 percent of revenues, as compared to $225 million in the third quarter of 2017, representing 49 percent of revenues in the third quarter of 2017.
