Check Point Software Technologies has launched its new 41000 Security System that delivers optimal security performance with up to 11,000 SecurityPower units (SPU), 40 Gbps of real-life firewall throughput, and 25 Gbps of real-life IPS throughput.
The 41000 Security System leverages multi-blade hardware architecture found in the Check Point 61000, giving data centers and telecommunication providers optimized scalable security and high reliability in real-life environments.
The 41000 offers more segmentation and connectivity with high port density of up to 30x10GbE and is the only 6U system to offer high speed interfaces of 40GbE.
Key features of the Check Point 41000 Security System include enhanced performance of up to 11,000 SPU, nearly 3X higher than the 13500 or the 21700 Appliances.
It has connection capacity of up to 80 million concurrent connections and 1.1 million connections per second for demanding transaction environments.
Meanwhile, Check Point announced the availability of Next-Generation SmartEvent, a new event monitoring solution for real-time processing and storing of threat detection data.
Next-Generation SmartEvent offers one single view for all security threats and network components, to more easily manage and analyze big data security, and to make faster and more informed security decisions.
“To stay one step ahead of security threats, organizations need powerful event monitoring solutions that are simple to use, provide robust security analytics to rapidly identify and investigate threats, and enable policy modifications based on these threats,” said Dorit Dor, vice president of products at Check Point Software Technologies.
