BT to add Cisco FirePOWER data and systems protection

BT will add Cisco FirePOWER Next-Generation Intrusion Prevention System (NGIPS) to the BT Assure portfolio of managed security services.

This is aimed at strengthening data and systems protection to BT customers.

Cisco FirePOWER NGIPS offers visibility into all of their network layers and contextual awareness of users, infrastructure and applications and protects the network against known and unknown threats before, during and after an attack.

“Cisco FirePOWER NGIPS brings a very strong additional capability to the arsenal of security solutions that BT customers can deploy to protect their critical assets and be prepared for the future,” said Mark Hughes, president of BT Security.
