Infotech Lead Asia: BeyondTrust, a provider of Context-Aware Security Intelligence solutions, has appointed Iain Ramage as channel director, EMEA and India.
Ramage joins from Sophos, where he was worldwide director of Channels.
A key part of the company’s strategy is the expansion of BeyondTrust’s partner network, to provide customers with local expertise to support their security needs.
Ramage will spearhead this part of BeyondTrust’s international business going forward.
Ramage, who has nearly 20 years’ experience in international sales, was responsible for the global channel business at Sophos, where he launched the company’s global partner program.
Prior to Sophos, Ramage held senior international roles at SAP, Business Objects, Hewlett-Packard and Computer Associates.
“There is a clear demand for the high calibre of vulnerability and privilege management solutions that BeyondTrust can offer, across physical, virtual, mobile and cloud environments. There is huge potential to help our partner network support customers whilst generating new revenue streams for themselves,” said Ramage.
Customers of BeyondTrust include eight of the world’s 10 largest banks, eight of the world’s 10 largest aerospace and defense firms, and 7 of the 10 largest U.S. pharmaceutical companies, as well as renowned universities across the globe.
