Science Applications International Corp (SAIC) has deployed NetSuite OpenAir as a single, unified platform to run its critical resource management processes.
SAIC will have additional visibility of some 10,000 project-oriented personnel working on roughly 2,500 projects at any given time and can also transform resource management through improved employee utilization and the streamlining of systems that will lower IT costs over time.
NetSuite OpenAir was implemented in less than six months and offered a robust, scalable and transparent resource management platform to SAIC.
The company said NetSuite OpenAir is integrated with SAIC’s financial, human resources, project management and contract management systems for streamlined, end-to-end processes in a unified solution.
SAIC has also accelerated processes for demand requests and bookings.
Additionally SAIC staff will have greater clarity into the near and long-term project pipeline and assignment opportunities using NetSuite OpenAir.
This apart, SAIC can realize improved cost-effectiveness in the areas of administration and IT management through the NetSuite OpenAir Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementation.
“The greatest benefit we expect with NetSuite is the ability to see our entire workforce across thousands of projects with associated skills,” said Rob Gottschall, SAIC director of Resource Management.
Few days ago, NetSuite powered the ecommerce website of Liberty Bottleworks, a manufacturer and distributor of the American-made recycled metal bottle.
