MobileIron has launched the Preview of MobileIron for Windows 10 and is also working with Google to deliver MobileIron AppConnect framework to the Android Work platform.
MobileIron has launched the Preview of MobileIron for Windows 10.
Earlier, corporations were using group policy objects (GPO) to manage their Windows devices which does not work with mobile devices that are only intermittently connected to the corporate network.
Enterprise mobility management (EMM) platforms like MobileIron allow business users to securely access enterprise data from any device, on any network, without compromising data security.
IT ensure that corporate data is only accessible by trusted apps as Windows 10 Enterprise Data Protection (EDP) provides personal and corporate data separation and prevents unauthorized access and leakage of corporate data.
Also, Windows 10 allows programmer to develop universal apps that are written once with a single set of business logic and with a user experience that can run on any Windows 10 device.
MobileIron is anticipating that many laptops, smartphones, tablets and PCs will be managed with EMM platforms instead of traditional group policy.
The company said Preview is conducted under the beta program provisions.
MobileIron is also working with Google to bring the MobileIron AppConnect framework to the Android for Work platform.
On Android V5.0, Android apps can be installed and run in a secure workspace on the device without any modification to those apps, together with the combination of MobileIron and Android for work.
Company officials said MobileIron AppConnect to the Android for Work app allows developers to deploy any AppConnect-enabled app in the secure workspace of the Android for Work app.
Also, this expansion can increase the number of apps that can be secured through Android for Work on existing Android devices.
