Calhoun County School deploys ADTRAN for Wi-Fi and BYOD

Calhoun County Schools has deployed ADTRAN for district wide, high speed Wi-Fi to support Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program.

To help students compete effectively in data driven economy, teachers of Calhoun County School have incorporated new tools into their curriculum.

ADTRAN is a part of Enabling Communities, Connecting Lives program and is helping more than 9,300 students, teachers and administrators in Calhoun County.

Company officials said students, teachers and administrators can create an environment that stimulates a passion for learning and provides an opportunity to reach maximum potential.

Calhoun County School focuses to create a foundation for BYOD program and facilitate the use of iPad and Apple in every classroom by simplifying IT operations by offloading the management of the Wi-Fi network.

The requirement of the school for Wi-Fi solution across the district with reliable, high capacity connectivity was provided by adopting managed service model.

78 percent of students and 83 percent of faculty and staff are already using personal devices on K-12 campus networks across the nation, according to research organizations.

ADTRAN ProCloud service helps school systems to boost wireless network capacity while providing exceptional curriculum and education.

Administrators, teachers and students can create a dynamic environment that fosters a passion for learning by ADTRAN broadband, Wi-Fi, switching and Cloud services.

Last month ADTRAN has launched ProCloud EDU, a wireless digital learning (WDL) suite that unlocks the power of technology in the classroom with secure, cloud-managed Wi-Fi that is optimized from the network down to each student device.
