Zebra offers dual mode dual radio 802.11ac Access Point for better Wi-Fi

Zebra Technologies Corporation has announced the new TW-522 wireless wallplate access point (AP) to provide better wireless connectivity to hotel guests.

The TW-522 AP offers a cost-effective, easy snap-on installation while reducing the need of cabling in each guest room.

The company said TW-522 AP also reduces installation complexity and minimizes disruption to guest stays.

Additionally guest can connect their laptops, tablets and smartphones as hoteliers install TW-522 APs in every room.

Zebra offers 802.11ac dual radio technology for faster internet connections to enhance guest experience by providing encrypted and secure connection.

This apart, hotels can deliver location-based services directly into rooms and provide information to guests at the right time through Bluetooth Smart beacon option.

According to the company, TW-522 AP is compatible with Zebra’s T5 PowerBroadband system.

Hotels can easily upgrade their T5 systems with the TW-522 without replacing the entire solution.

“The TW-522 AP ensures guests receive a superior wireless experience and with Bluetooth Smart technology hotels can thoughtfully engage with guests and increase staff productivity,” said Imran Akbar, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Networks & Communications, Zebra Technologies.

Few days ago, Zebra launched Zebra OneCare, a portfolio of support services that maximize the uptime and availability of Zebra mobile computers, printers, bar code scanners, RFID devices and wireless LAN (WLAN) infrastructure.
