XM Asia Pacific hosts Clients’ Digital Engagement Platform on Savvis Cloud

Infotech Lead Asia: Savvis, a provider of cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprises, has announced that XM Asia Pacific will host its clients’ digital engagement platform on Savvis’ enterprise-class cloud infrastructure.

XM Asia Pacific is a provider of digital marketing and technology consulting services. The company will host business-critical sites on the Savvis Symphony Open public cloud platform through Savvis’ data centre in Singapore.

Vince Lui, managing director of XM Asia Pacific, said that by using the Savvis cloud platform, the company is able to reduce costs significantly by moving from a capital expense model to one based on operational expense.

XM Asia Pacific selected Savvis for considering several factors, including the absence of long-term contracts, reduced deployment time, generous capacity management policies, robust service-level agreements and security, global availability via regional Savvis-managed data centres and Savvis’ track record of successful cloud deployments.

Savvis initially provided XM Asia Pacific with a test-and-development environment, which became the working solution.

Mark Smith, managing director of Asia for Savvis, said that companies like XM Asia Pacific are becoming more forward-looking and deploying Savvis’ cloud and IT infrastructure solutions, helping to meet their evolving digital needs in Asia and beyond.

XM Asia Pacific supports and offers its services to its client base in China, Australia and Japan through Savvis’ infrastructure in Singapore.

Earlier, Savvis announced the availability of its private cloud solution and managed services offerings through Savvis’ data center in Hong Kong.
