Woodlands Resort to install NEC Application Platforms for Hotels

Woodlands Resort and Conference Centre has selected IT and communication provider NEC Corporation of America’s application platform for hotels, which offer unique hospitality application on a single server platform.

NEC’s Application Platforms for Hotels provides a variety of NEC hospitality specific applications all on a single server platform. NEC enables the solution to be customized by allowing hotel customers to choose which applications best fit their unique property requirements.

All of the applications have been pre-tested and checked prior to installation – reducing the amount of time it takes to get fully operational.

The comprehensive suite of applications can be accessed in real time with a simple click, presenting a range of options to the hotel staff ensuring little or no disruption in providing guest services.

“The Woodlands Resort was looking for more than a basic communications system; it wanted a combination of reliability, mobile communications for its staff, and leading edge services for guests. DCI – Design Communications, technology solutions provider, as well as a certified Platinum NEC dealer, worked with The Woodlands Resort and presented the NEC solution,” said the company officials.

“Applications have become fundamental to improving the customer experience which is such an important part of a service- based industry. We are looking forward to support Woodlands Resort with an innovative communications system highlighted by on- site mobility and access to a broad range of hotel applications,” said Larry Levenberg, vice president, NEC Corporation of America.

Established in 1974, the Woodlands Resort offers 36 holes of championship golf and is undergoing an extensive renovation and expansion that will be completed in the fall of 2014, adding 184 guest rooms to its original base of 220 plus rooms and its 60,000 square feet of meeting space.
