Wipro veteran Partho Dasgupta joins NEC India as MD

Infotech Lead Asia: Wipro veteran Partho Dasgupta has joined NEC India as its new managing director.

Before joining NEC India in March 2013, Partho worked with Dimension Data as its country head – Solutions for 1 year; Microland as vice president – India and Middle East Business for 2 years; Wipro Infotech as general manager for 2 years; Wipro Technologies as director for 7 years; etc

Partho is the first managing director from India and will report to Toshiya Matsuki, regional CEO at NEC Asia Pacific based in Singapore.

Partho, who has more than 25 years of experience, will be responsible for NEC’s business operations.

He will be responsible for fostering the growth of NEC India and integration of Computers and Communication (C&C) technologies to build an information friendly society.

In addition to advancing NEC’s commitment to the Indian market, Partho will focus on building NEC as a global leader in the IT and telecom space, as well as to deliver technology in public safety, unified communications, and cloud services.
