VMware has sold over a million licenses of its VMware AirWatch Mobile Device Management solution to enterprises in India.
India is one of the fastest growing markets for its End User Computing business globally. AirWatch added enterprise clients such as Air Works, Axis Bank, Fullerton, IDFC Bank, Indigo Airlines, Mindtree, OYO Rooms, Wipro, and Zomato, among others.
VMware AirWatch Mobile Device Management enables businesses to enroll devices quickly, configure and update device settings over-the-air, and secure mobile devices by providing a simplified way to view and manage devices from a central admin console..

Air Works has tapped AirWatch to help on its enterprise mobility journey by assisting it to securely manage the applications, content and devices our teams use, without impacting the efficiency and quality.
Ravinder Pal Singh, global chief information and technology officer at Air Works, said: “Our IT roadmap has been designed around the mobility of our workforce who are constantly on the shop floor working on large airplanes. Our business model necessitates engineers to carry devices – whether they’re iPads or android devices – to work efficiently on the move.”
Vodafone Business Services has rolled out a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiative with AirWatch to manage a variety of devices and platforms to offer freedom of choice and user experience to its employees.
