VMware has hired Rajiv Ramaswami, who earlier worked with Broadcom and Cisco, to head its Networking and Security Business.
Reporting to VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger, Rajiv Ramaswami will be replacing Martin Casado. As the general manager and executive vice president, Rajiv Ramaswami will be heading the fastest growing business in VMware.
Most recently, Rajiv Ramaswami served as executive vice president and general manager of the Infrastructure & Networking Group of Broadcom.
Before Broadcom, Rajiv Ramaswami was vice president and general manager of the Cloud Services and Switching Technology Group at Cisco Systems, where he also served as vice president and general manager for a variety of business units in Optical, Switching and Storage Networking.
