Vidyo appoints David Kaminsky as CFO

Personal telepresence provider Vidyo has appointed David Kaminsky as chief financial officer of the company.

David Kaminsky is a veteran corporate finance specialist and possesses  more than 25 years of experience that includes positions overseeing all aspects of global financial, IT and business operations.

“David Kaminsky is joining Vidyo as CFO at an important time for our company, when we are seeing an amazing increase in sales and market coverage. David’s appointment strongly complements our management team as we transform from a late stage start-up to a fast growing corporation,” said Ofer Shapiro, co-founder and CEO of Vidyo.

Vying with market leaders like Cisco and Polycom, New Jersey-based Vidyo raised around $100 million since its founding in 2005.

Prior to joining Vidyo, Kaminsky served NTT Data as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

“I am excited to be joining such a dynamic company; one that has already made a significant contribution to the video conferencing industry, enhancing the reach of high-quality visual communications,” said Kaminsky.

Before NTT Data, he served Altegrity as CFO, where he was responsible for all finance, tax, sourcing, and IT infrastructure operations.

Recently, Vidyo announced that it will offer extended interoperability with Microsoft Lync.

The new development will enable businesses that use Microsoft Lync to offer employees the benefits of the Vidyo platform.
