Surajit Sen, EMC India Country Manager – Data Protection & Availability Division, in a video interview, shared the company’s plans and challenges.
He says some of the policies of the Indian government increased the risk of enterprises. EMC India rates Australia and New Zealand on the top of the regulation chart. “India does not have a strong regulation regarding data protection in place. India needs to learn from other countries to improve business atmosphere,” Sen added.

EMC on Friday announced new data protection-as-a-service solutions that address data protection requirements, enabling EMC customers to confidently transition to software-defined data centers and fully exploit the cost and operational advantages they deliver.
“ITeS will be the early adopters of our data protection solutions for software-defined data centers. We are already doing pilots with a few enterprises,” Sen said.
EMC Data Protection Suite enhancements, a new EMC Data Domain Operating System and new releases of EMC VPLEX and EMC RecoverPoint deliver new capabilities today, while laying the foundation for the future.
