Veeam Software, a provider of backup solutions that deliver Cloud Data Management, has exceeded $1 billion in annual bookings.
Veeam has also surpassed 350,000 customers, adding new customers at a rate of more than 4,000 each month.
“Veeam created the VMware backup market and has dominated it as the leader for the last decade,” said Ratmir Timashev, co-founder and EVP Sales & Marketing at Veeam at at VeeamON 2019 in Miami.
Backup is still critical, but customers are now building hybrid clouds with AWS, Azure, IBM and Google, and they need more than backup.
Veeam has 60,000 plus channel and service provider partners and several technology partners such as Cisco, HPE, NetApp, Nutanix and Pure Storage.
Veeam in January launched Veeam Availability Suite 9.5 Update 4, delivering easy cloud migration and cloud mobility, cloud-native backup, cost-effective data retention, and portable cloud-ready licensing, increased security and data governance.
Veeam has partnered with storage and hyperconverged (HCI) vendors such as ExaGrid and Nutanix to provide secondary storage solutions that combine Veeam software with storage and HCI infrastructure hardware and management stacks.
The Cloud Data Management market will be worth more than $15 billion by 2020.
Veeam Software announced the general availability of new Veeam Availability Orchestrator v2. The latest version expands its orchestration and automation capabilities to a broader set of applications and VMs.
