Triumph Motorcycles of the UK has selected Infor as its IT partner to support the business in achieving a major global transformation of its business systems.

Infor claims that it already works with 20 of the top 20 automotive suppliers.

Triumph Motorcycles will utilize Infor software to transform its global motorcycle order to fulfilment process, delivering improved manufacturing agility. The investment in IT solutions is expected to enable Triumph to offer better customer experience. Triumph Motorcycles builds around 54,500 bikes per year and has over 750 dealers.

Infor’s automotive suite of applications will support 1600 users across 24 countries and will go live in 2019 following a deployment that will be undertaken in four key phases.

Infor’s applications will support manufacturing and assembly operations for Triumph in the UK, Thailand, Brazil and India. Triumph Motorcycles is the largest British motorcycle manufacturer.

As per the deal, Infor will focus on areas including advanced analytics to evaluate production performance metrics on the assembly line, supply chain synchronization, including financial integration, and real time reporting.

Triumph Motorcycles will be integrating the applications using Infor ION to facilitate transparency and collaboration across the global dealer network.

Triumph Motorcycles will utilize the Infor Ming.le platform to access all applications, supporting role-based workflow and delivering alerts to boost productivity.

“Infor’s modern technology platform, combined with applications designed specifically for the needs of automotive manufacturers, will equip us with a single platform from which to run our global manufacturing operations efficiently and flexibly,” said Nick Bloor, CEO of Triumph Motorcycles.
