Time Warner Cable executive Vernon Irvin joins CenturyLink to look after SMB biz

CenturyLink has appointed Vernon Irvin, who earlier worked with Time Warner Cable, as vice president – sales of Business Solutions Group to look after SMB business.

Irvin will be responsible for revenue growth from small and midsized business customers with bundled voice, data and Internet connectivity solutions, cloud products and outsourced IT support.

He is joining CenturyLink from Time Warner Cable.

Irvin sets sales strategies to expand relationships with current customers and attract new customers by delivering business-friendly solutions bundles, including the recently launched Managed Office, a managed IT services, cloud and communications network bundle delivered with an enhanced customer care model featuring product managers who coordinate customer installations and training.

Besides Time Warner Cable, Irvin has worked with VeriSign, American Management Systems, XM Satellite Radio Holdings, British Telecommunications and additional telecommunications, digital media and IT companies.
