Tellabs on Tuesday announced the availability of 100 Series Mini ONT, the world’s smallest optical network terminal (ONT) with power over Ethernet.
These Mini ONTs fit neatly into offices, in a standard wall outlet or inside a cubicle raceway.
The Mini ONT is part of Tellabs Optical LAN, which provides same features and functions as existing LANs.
Optical LAN addresses IT needs for more bandwidth, higher availability, a simpler architecture, a longer lifecycle, stronger security, and savings in time, energy and costs.
Customers such as Sandia National Laboratories and Deltek use Optical LAN to gain these benefits.
