Synology has launched RC18015xs+ and RXD1215sas, high-availability server with massive scalability, superior performance, and point-in-time data backup for small- and medium-sized businesses.
The RC18015xs+ and RXD1215sas are designed to work as a high-availability cluster which requires two RC18015xs+ and at least one RXD1215sas expansion unit.
RC18015xs+ and RXD1215sas deliver unyielding reliability and data availability by combining two computing servers and multiple storage units into a single high-availability cluster.
The company said up to 5 RXD1215sas can be connected to the dual RC18015xs+ computing nodes, accommodating massive scalability up to 180 drives and maximum raw storage beyond 1PB.
Also, businesses can automatically capture point-in-time copies of data with RC18015xs+ snapshot technology. Retention policy can be customized to save up to 256 hourly, daily or weekly recovery points.
Additionally, the RC18015xs+ brings quota control for shared folders, user accounts and a built-in data integrity check by using Btrfs file system.
Company officials said the RC18015xs+ and RXD1215sas offers performance of more than 2,270 MB/s throughput; 355,400 IOPS; 8GB ECC RAM (upgradeable up to 32GB); and one PCI Express 3.0 with 8 slots for the installation of a 10GbE network interface card (NIC).
Synology provides 5-year warranty for both the servers which are powered by DiskStation Manager (DSM).
Synology RC 18015xs+ and RXD1215sas are available for $3,999.99 and $3,499.99respectively. With two RC18015xs+ and at least one RXD1215sas expansion unit, the price totals under $12,000.
Last month, Synology released DiskStation Manager 5.2 with new features and packages and delivers advanced and secure private cloud for individuals and businesses.
