IP desktop phones and IP communications solutions provider snom technology has appointed Usman Tahir as chief technology officer (CTO).
Tahir will be responsible for the technical development of the company.
Tahir will oversee the engineering and technological direction at snom. In addition, company founder Christian Stredicke will move into a strategic role on snom’s supervisory board.
“Usman’s extensive experience in engineering and business are perfectly suited to his new role as CTO at snom. His deep technical knowledge and understanding of the company’s structure and long-term goals is key to snom’s strategic planning and continued success as a technology leader,” said Michael Knieling, chief operating officer at snom technology.
Tahir began at snom as senior software engineer in 2001 before becoming VP, Product Management in 2010.
Before joining snom, Tahir worked as design Engineer at AVAZ Networks and also at Communications Enabling Technologies.
