Siemens offers energy saving OpenScape IP desk phones

Infotech Lead America:Siemens Enterprise Communications has launched the OpenScape Desk Phone IP family – a new line of modern, energy efficient, ergonomically designed IP desktop phones.  These phones feature an intuitive design to enable greater user productivity and deliver optimal conversation quality for better team collaboration.The new family of OpenScape IP desk phones feature centralized device management and preprogrammed keys out of the box that reduce service costs. It is designed to occupy minimal space on the desk top.

The OpenScape IP desk phones deliver value-driven, highly secure communication solutions, better sound quality through HD audio as well as Gigabit Ethernet and customization and application integration for high performance users.

The OpenScape IP desk phones supports customers’ ‘green’ initiatives and provides average  cost savings of $2.45 – $3.05 per device annually by facilitating optimal energy efficiency. It uses up to 34 percent less power than competitive phones.

The simplified programming and out of the box hold, transfer and preconfigured headset makes sure that users are set up much quicker.

Of the first two devices to be introduced, the OpenScape Desk Phone IP 35G is suitable for the standard user, including knowledge workers and contact center users. Its main features are headset connectivity, multi-line options, and a rich business feature set that make it ideal for both offices and call centers.

The second device to be introduced is the OpenScape Desk Phone IP 55G which is designed with the mid-range and power user in mind. These feature-rich, highly secure devices include expandable multi-line capabilities and a customizable interface, making them the best bet for both high performance knowledge workers and executive teams.

The OpenScape Desk Phone IP 35G will be available April 30th onwards and the OpenScape Desk Phone IP 55G will be available from June 30th.

Recently, Siemens Enterprise Communications partnered with Polycom to provide seamless collaboration, from desktop voice and video, to boardroom immersive telepresence for the OpenScape platform. Joint solutions from SEN’s UC and Polycom RealPresence are used to heighten productivity and lower costs for customers.
