Seagate Technology appoints Dave Mosley as CEO

Seagate Technology has appointed Dave Mosley as the chief executive officer.

Steve Luczo, who currently serves as chairman and CEO, will become the executive chairman. Steve Luczo served as Seagate’s CEO in 16 of the last 20 years.

Dave Mosley is currently Seagate’s president and chief operating officer.

Mosley joined Seagate in 1995 and in his current role is responsible for Seagate’s global operations, Sales and Marketing, Research and Development, Supply Chain / Procurement as well as Logistics and IT.

Seagate Technology reported revenue of $2.4 billion, gross margin of 27.7 percent and net income of $114 million for the quarter and fiscal year ended June 30, 2017.

Seagate Technology reported revenue of $10.8 billion, gross margin of 29.5 percent and net income of $772 million for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2017.

“The results of our performance this fiscal year reflect improved year-over-year profitability of our storage product portfolio and business operations,” said Steve Luczo, Seagate’s chairman and chief executive officer.
