Infotech Lead Asia: SAP has appointed Suprakash Chaudhuri as managing director, SAP India & Subcontinent.
Suprakash will look after all market-facing activities across the field organization, overseeing customer operations as well as general management like sales, consulting, partner ecosystem expansion and marketing.

Since Q3 2012, Suprakash was the acting MD.
Steve Watts, president, SAP Asia-Pacific Japan, says India with over 4,900 customers has become one of the best performing businesses.
Suprakash has been associated with SAP for six years.
He became the head of SAP’s Database and Technology business for India in 2012. The team, under his leadership, brought a solution-centric go-to-market approach to drive revenue and build multiple self–sustaining businesses around SAPs solution portfolio, across all market segments.
