SAP hires Justin Somaini as chief security officer

SAP HANA IndiaBusiness software major SAP today announced the appointment of Box veteran Justin Somaini as chief security officer (CSO).

At Box, Justin Somaini was chief trust officer. Earlier, he held a number of senior positions at both Yahoo and Symantec.

SAP is serious about security of its clients and organization. The German business software major has developed a security strategy designed to secure its own business operations and to ensure security standards in the software it supplies to its customers.

Recently, SAP set up a section on the website for SAP HANA for providing information about various security aspects of the platform. This section contains information about operating SAP HANA platform-based systems securely, including tips on secure configuration, warnings about potential security risks and advice on how to counteract them.
